Autographs and Manuscripts

In recent years, we have been increasingly interested in the field of artists' autographs and manuscripts that refer to an artist's overall oeuvre or to specific projects. In this category we also include artists' photographs (portraits and documentary or preparatory photos), exhibition plans and directions for installations. Over the years, we have assembled a repository of such material, dating from the sixteenth century to the present day, to which we hope to add and which we shall include in our future commercial activities. Moreover, it is hoped to extend the field to include manuscripts and correspondence pertaining to collectors, art historians and dealers. We hope to continue to acquire important individual items or entire collections of documents, which give an insight into artists' conscious engagement with their own creative processes.

Our inventory also includes artist books from the late 19th century to the present day, reaching from publications by Ambroise Vollard to conceptual artist books, including some of our own commissions to an artist.
