Metzger is a founding member of the Fluxus group and a leading exponent of the Auto-Destructive Art and the Art Strike movements. In recent years, he has won international acclaim for works like Eichmann and the Angel, which is now regarded as his most significant piece. He is widely seen as a leading light for a younger generation of artists.
